For over 16 years, I’ve worked in nonprofit fundraising, with the past 9 years dedicated to grant writing.

  • No, I work on an hourly rate only. The Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) and related ethics codes strictly prohibit grant writers from earning a commission or percentage of the grant money awarded, viewing it as unethical and a conflict of interest that prioritizes self-gain over the nonprofit's mission.

  • First, we schedule an Introductory Call so I can get a better understanding of your mission and funding needs. If we are a good fit, we determine if your organization will be best served via a retainer or project based contract.

    From there, we work together to prospect funders, then prepare, draft, and submit grant applications for your organization.

  • I primarily work with small and emerging nonprofits who do not have an in-house grant writer. I currently support a variety of causes and sectors, including economic justice, animal welfare, community development, education, youth development, and workforce development.

  • Yes, this is a key part of the strategic support I offer my clients. I use specialized databases and research to find grants that are the right fit for each of my clients.

  • Project: Ideal for a one-time grant or short task. Retainer: Best for organizations needing consistent, ongoing support (research, strategy, multiple submissions) for a set number of hours per month.

  • Due to the competitive nature of grants, I cannot guarantee funding. However, I can guarantee a professionally written, compelling, and fully compliant proposal that maximizes your chance of success.
